User-Contributed Transcription My Dear ChildrenLucy says Mother is going to write this letter & indeed perhaps I ought. I am sure I want to write to you. And my heart is full, sometimes almost to bursting, (like a cag'd bird - fluttering and panting to get out but cannot) full of love to all my Dear Children. If feelings & thoughts would only flow from my pen with the forcibly that words do from Lucy - but mine seems to be an inner life what little there is of it , or at any rate without much expression of any thing of use or benefit to any one. Lucy can write whatever we have to say so much easier that I will only tell you that I love you and pray for you and long to see you all heremuch love to your parents from your Mother
