User-Contributed Transcription to Milo after you left there. Putnam's came yesterday. I cut the leaves (and made some bad mistakes doing it) and looked them over last night and this forenoon, so much as I had time. Little by little have finished P. Papers and French, and got into Hugh Miller's Autobiography, which, I believe I wrote you, Mr. Wallace brought. I cannot read much in the day time, because Percy wants to have a share in everything I do - and 'tis equally troublesome to write - and my eyes do not endure to read all the evening. We have all had very bad colds. Percie had a slight attack of croup Saturday night. Samuel was quite uncomfortable - to say the least - for two or three days, and Sat. and Sunday myself, almost sick. Sanuel staid at home Sat. afternoon to help take care of Percie - all finely convalescent now. Mr. Martin has been confined to the house for several days with a severe cold. Mrs. Harlow, ditto - influenza very prevalent - Mrs. Harlow, with her superior wit, "discernment" came
