User-Contributed Transcription with Mary Welsh - Anna took dinner here with me. In the evening, we had a lively time in #155 B. Lilla Davidson appeared suddenly. Miss Howes, Elizabeth Aliza, Miss Darling, Miss Cooley, Cassius Caius - all came in. Miss Darling and I walked down to the 9:38 train with Lilla.

Thurs. 12 Classes - Board of Visitors came to them more or less. Col. Hopkins & Prof. Horsford at 10:55. a man unknown to me at 2:20 - Went to see Mrs. Foote and then to S[??]ing Society at Mrs. Sanborn's - came up to see Dr. Abbott on "Why I believe in the Bible" at 7:30 -
"I believe the Bible to be the Book of God's promise - His Covenant or Testament - not that I believe that any particular books were written by any particular authors. nor that I believe in any particular theory of inspiration. We do not know how the mind of God worked on the minds
