Mrs. Anna Maria McCoy of Belvidere, whose recent literary productions have attracted the interest of young and old from the sounding shore of the Atlantic to the Golden Gate, from the cities of the Sandwich Islands to the palms of the Zulu Land and from Greenland's icy mountains to India's coral strand will hold a coversazione at Abbotsford, Sir Walter Scott being present on a bust, Dr. E. H. Jones, the distinguished homeopathist in attendance - Mrs. McCoy will be assisted by her circle of close friends Misses Shafer, Chandler, Monroe, Foster, Hanes, Morgan and Metcalf.
Miss Eva Chandler, the fair resident of Diamond Cottage, who is spending the gay holiday season in our midst has consorted within a circumscribed sphere to radiate the infinite witcheries of her youthful charms on all who come within the zone of her attraction. Though attracted to many other points she has finally decided to receive at the same locus and temples as Prof Shafer and her coefficients and exponents, Dr. E. H. Jones, Mrs. A.M. McCoy, Misses Hawes, Metcalf, Monroe, Foster and Morgan.
Miss Marion Metcalf, B. A. N20, who has recently arrived from Waban Hall is also spending the holiday season in our city, her old home, and will be glad to remember affinities here. The addition of such an element to the constituents of our society will set in motion our social molecules and precipitate some of them at her feet. She prefers to receive her friends in
