Monday May 7- Letters from Annie and Edith. Wrote to the family and
to Jack, also sent Ethel's letter to Jennie Bullock.
Made a few Chemistry questions. Walked to Cochituate
and back in the P.M. with Miss Kendall. and found
a little Asbestos. Lake Cochituate is a very beauti-
-ful place. We must have a picnic here sometime.
Came back, pretty tired, had a late supper, by kind-
-ness of Miss Dennison and some of the girls, then
went to Horace E. Scudder's lecture on Childhood before
and after Christ. Was too tired to enjoy it much-
took the coach home. Mrs. Durant was in the coach
part of the time and talked to me very pleasantly.
Tuesday-8- Letters from Annie + John, with accounts of the Junior
Ex. wrote to Annie. R.I.Geog.Soc. met at 4:30 or
even and considered the U.S. I staid to dinner
at the College, then went boatriding with the girls to
the cottage, and a young man who was with them
from Princeton.
Wednesday Not very well today. Marion March quizzed my 2:55
class on O, O3 + CO2. Had no letters, but received the Oberlin
Jubilee Notes. Went in evening to a rehearsal at South
atick of the Entertainment to be given by the Satur-
-day Night Club tomorrow night. Mr. Bailey is very
kind to us. Returned about 9:45 and sat up till
11:15 finishing my examination questions.
Thursday Classes in A.M. Qual.Anal.in P.M. Studied Geography some-
read paper. The French Deputation now in the country on
behalf of the McAll Mission spoke at W.C. this P.M. Was
Berger,Sec. Mr. Sailleus and Mr. Greig. They were very
interesting, especially Mr. Sailleus. I have in some way
taken a bad cold. Am hoarse and have sore throat. Am ta-
-king some of Dr. Jones' pills- Alice Dow gave me some
KCCl3+ Maggie Hill gave me some honey-
Friday- 11 Have been quite hoarse all day, but managed to teach my three
classes. The R.I.G.S. met at 4 P.M. The bad Miss Kendall being
absent, cause unknown. Letter from Flo - sent postal to
Edith. Went to Entertainment of Saturday Night Club in
