-ria Adgate Bailey, Wellesley '87 - & Mary Searle, who is teaching in Baltimore this year, & spending vacation in Newport here with Mrs Bailey.
Tuesday, 3. Classes as usual, except for Prayermeeting in evening. Dora did not go to Night School. Mrs Freeman is sick. I had Middlers all the evening. 3 periods. Rather tired - Mr Frissel & family started forth - 1, 2, & 3 periods in Night School.
Wed. 4 Prayermeeting very good. Sent Bolden out of class. had some talk with Geo. Thompson after school, so went not to after prayermeeting. Letters from home.
Thurs. 5 Wrote letter home & forgot to mail the same. Classes & prayermeetings as usual. 1, 2, & 3 periods in Night School.
Friday. 6 [note: two blank lines]
Saturday. 7 Temperance Meeting in evening, not at all serious. Susie Sparkes & alcohol. Mr. Gleason & war tapers - Indians Quartette. Prayermeeting at 9:30, in Academic. Miss Moore Nettelton & I went.
Sunday. 8. Had Senior Class with mine for S.S. lesson. somewhat embarrassing. Miss Nettelson & I with Geo. Lyle and Marshal went to see the people down in Goose Alley - Miss Moore & I had some talk with Jesse Nicholas after dinner.
Monday. 9. Did not go to dinner - nor supper. New Schedule for Juniors & MIddlers began in Night School - Had A Jr. in Bible for the
