User-Contributed Transcription Wed. 28 Lovely weather. Went to see Ethel in A.M. the boys and I. Nette finally decided not to go to Evanston, and went to Fair late and alone. We reached the Fair about noon, by way of ILL Central World's Fair tarin, along lake to 63rd St. Brief call on Ethel, saw Mrs Capron & arranged somewhat about going there next week. Lunch at French Bakery - then to Machinery & Agricultural Buildings - Armed of Implements - free chocolate at Maillard's - Corn palace of Iowa, Kansas +c. Then up to Man. & Lib. Arts again, to Hampton Exhibit where we met Nette & rested a little - then went to the top of elevator - fine view and promenade - Chocolate at Baker's - then to Transportation Building, where we spent most of the time remaining. Supper at French Bakery - car home - met Grace Duncan at Hotel - went to Auditorium here to hear Oberlin Quartet, & out before the sermon. Talked with Cashier about checks which I then sent home with letter -

Thurs. 29 - Fine weather continues. Fair about 8:15 A.M. Walked through Forestry again. then into Anthropological Building, where we gave most of our time to the Nat. Hist. Section.
