school. Back in a hurry to my S.S. Temperance Lesson today. had Seniors and all, unexpectedly at the last minute. used Diagram - "The Great Drink Waste." Did not go out in P.M. Miss Showers came over. Laura came, and stayed till after church time. very sleepy - went not to church nor Y.M.C.A. chapel in evening. Mr Hull, fr. Brooklyn, spoke briefly - We went in to see Mrs Turner afterwards. Bed before 9.
Monday 13. Walk to Hampton with Miss Moore in A.M. & to Old Point with Myrtilla in P.M. Lovely weather. Letter to M. Marsh. also to Mrs Capron and to Nat'l Temp. Soc. & Am. Tract Soc. for a little temperance literature. Postal home to acknowledge receipt of "Winter in Central America." Family letter came - Night School reasonably successful.
Tues. 14. Cloudy in P.M. Cold Wave Flag up, but not much of a cold wave. Taught Theology for Mr. Turner - 4-4:40 - walk with Miss Moore, 3:20-4 - over to Soldiers' Home - 3 minutes late to class thereafter.
Wed. 15. Letter from home. Walk with Miss Nettelton. Finished Castle Dangerous, and began on Scottish Chiefs. Gave U.S. History Class an Examination, most of them spent the whole 45 minutes on it. they sang the last halfhour. Mr Turner came this morning, with his father and Mrs Richards.
Thurs. 16 Sent Family Letter, making it take place of my regular letter home. Walk
