User-Contributed Transcription bought 2 baskets full of apples - Porters, & Pippins - only 4 gentians - classes at 1:30 & 3:10 - office hour. Dinner at Miss Whiting's table, with Lizzie Root & the 7 '80's here - went to bed at 7:30, but not at once to sleep -
Thurs. 29 Did not go to breakfast nor dinner but taught all my classes & kept my office hour, proud to say - Wrote brief letter home. Did Note Bks. of 1:30 class -
Friday 30 Foggy still, some almost sunshine - Dr. Howard Crosby lectured at 2:20 instead of Bible class. the Freshman Bible teachers had their meeting in #144 at 3:10. Wrote to Uncle George, & to renew subscription to Independent. Letter from Annie Reynold's.
Sat. Oct. 1 Still foggy & gray. Classes as usual - went to Village in the rain after lunch. Swept after dinner. Went to Miss Hill's room at 7 to talk about gymnasium work for this winter. Did Note Books thereafter.
Sun. 2 Some rain - clear in evening - Communion Sunday at College - Dr. Washington Gladden preached in A.M. Missionary Meeting in evening. Dr. Ba[?] of Harport. Read some in "Heroines of the Mission Field" -
