User-Contributed Transcription ashamed of myself.  Took 11:15 boat to Long Point t0 look at  a railroad cutting.  Very many men looked at me, so that i did not greatly enjoy it. saw the animals. had to stay there until nearly 5 because the Hiawatha broke down over at Bennis Point. Went to Spelling match in the evening but did not spell.  Sent letter home. Very warm in A.M. cooler towards night.

Friday 15.  Went to Prof. Starr at 10,& at 11. & to the Electricity Class fr. 3-5. Rowing in the evening with miss Emerson & Mrs. Org[??] wo arrived today.  Still very warm.

Sat. 16 Took 9:30 boat to Mayville with Prof. Starr, Prof. Boyden, John McGregor & Will Metcalf.  from there by carriage to Hog's Back Ravine, near Westfield on Chautauqua Creek. Then down to Lake Erie at Barcelona - back at 6:10 a very hot day & some hard climbing, but a good time.  Went in evening with Miss Ericson to Reception at the College building - had a good time. Miss Ericson's friends Miss Sumner & Miss Miner arrived at 6:10 - Letter from home - Sent letter to M. March & c.

Sun. 17 Warm still.  Went to church, Sunday School & Even Song Service.  Had a
