Tues. 5 Gray in A.M. but clear in P.M. Spent sometime mending dress, so put in only 5 1/2 hrs' work today. Led prayers. Worked in Room 0 in A.M. and with blowpipe in P.M. Read "Hoosier Schoolmaster" to Miss Jackson and Mrs. Nary in evening - Sent letter to Simon -
Wed. 6 A lovely day - somewhat cooler - Six good hours of blowpipe work. Postal card from Uncle George - wrote one to him. Finished Hoosier Schoolmaster.
Thurs. 7 Last day in Massachusetts. Beautiful cold weather. 4 1/2 hrs. work. in A.M. at blowpiping - in P.M. looking over Mineralogy Cases at 5th floor Centre - Mr. Root came about 3:15 and stayed until 7:13. Walked to station with him - went to bed soon after 8 o'clock.
Fri. 8 Good Friday - Clear and cold. Full moon. Put in 7 1/2 hrs' work, mostly at blowpiping. a little Quantitative study
