Wed. 16. Nette went to Oberlin in P.M. to speak remainder of week with the Steeles - John has just learned that he is not to be at Oberlin another year - retrenchment all around. Plans discussed in family council. Europe for John -

Thurs. 17. A.S.R. to Oberlin again as yesterday - All went to prayermeeting. Pater, the Mither & Annie went to Aunt Anna's to supper. France being asleep before Annie went. He woke up, however, while I was putting Keyes and Nelson to sleep, but he quieted soon. Mr & Mrs S.S.M. Mr & Mrs. E.W.M. Will & Mayne took part in the meeting.

Friday. 18. Charlie surprised most of us by coming in on us, by the 8 oclock train in the evening - same as ever, but very thin. everyone very glad to see him.

Sat. 19. Miss Eloise Steele brought, Nette home in the afternoon & was here to supper - Crabapple jelly - Peanut candy.
