Sun. 16 Prof. Borone preached at College. Missionary in evening. Rev. Thos. Snell Smith & a native from Ceylon. Went to church & Young People's Meeting in Village. Read speeches at [?Ann Broad?] Meeting in Independent. Prayermeeting led by Miss Byington
Mon. 17 Lovely weather. Mended & read in A.M. and then tried to nurse invalid Cassius Canis. Walked to Natick & back in P.M. No entertainment in evening - read some of Dana's Corals & Coral Islands.
Tues. 18 Classes as usual. Faculty Meeting in evening. Miss Shafer presided - Letter from Prof. Niles & Prof. Starr - wrote to Prof. Starr about the Sodium volcano. Did not go to the W.C.T.U. Convention - talked with Carrie Soule about Kent Dunlop and Nisba Breckenridge. Miss M.E.B. Roberts called, & spoke about the Salem position.
Wed. 19 Sat for pictures at 9 A.M. Simon went
