User-Contributed Transcription Sun. 15 Went to Dr. Harper's Bible Reading on a[?]. then to hear Sa[?] Jones preach - +c to Sunday School in P.M. Prof. Burroughs conducted, and we much enjoyed it. Vespers & evening meeting here at the Cottage as last Sunday.
Mon. 16 Bible classes. Went in evening to hear Mr. Bird read for a few minutes -
"And the goblins will get you
If you don't watch out" -
Tues. Dr. Harper away - we go to Dr. Weidener's class in Corinthians at 10 meanwhile. Dr. Broadus at 9 on Life of Christ, instead of Prof. Burroughs Literary Study of the Bible.
Wed, 18 Went to hear Judge Tourgee read - In evening to Pronunciation Match, which was very exciting - also Reception to Eng. students, two fr. Edinburgh University, one from Cambridge & one from Oxford. Each made a speech - Capt. Stagg of Yale Nine, made closing prayer. Caught a Cecropia for Prof. Gorman.
Thurs. 19 A.S. Root & Elizabeth DeWitt arrived at 6 by the "Burch" -We went over to Pt. Chautauqua, Carrie, Will, Annie Monroe & I, and bowled - called first on the Williams' & found them all away - came back on same boat with the others - Mrs. Duncan & Grace came by same boat also-
