Thurs. 28 Very high wind - cyclone last night in S. Louis & elsewhere. Mrs Nettie Johnson called in P.M. Went to see Aunt Anna & Mrs Caskey - Prayermeeting and Teachers' Meeting. Rev. D.D. DeLong D.D. very good. many there. Strawberry Shortcake and first green peace.

Fri. 29. Tripe, many pounds. test of Christianity. all put on to boil in P.M. Beets. Asparagus. Potato. Chocolate Blanc [??Mange.] Letter from Miss Gross, of Bible Reader's Home, Cleveland. Went to see Mrs Baird & Miss Phipps, on Nette's C.E. business, tried to see Mrs Rogers at Mrs Brook's - Cool. a little rain.

Sun. 31 - Opened S.S. on West River Road. Bessie Brooks & I went down - 35 people - Dr. DeLong preached at our church.

Monday June 1. Mrs. Jackson did all the washing - tried to prepare for housecleaning a little - K & N. hair clipped -

Tues. 2. Colored woman here cleaning house - washed windows in parlor & sitting room. cleaned dining room. Dinner out under the Sweet Bough tree - Bertha came at
