User-Contributed Transcription and the two evening meetings. Three in S.S. class - Miss Kendall & I and Wallace took a walk in afternoon. Mr. Cowan preached on Gal. 4:6, Pres. Hyde of Bowdoin preached at the College.
Mon. 19 rain, which prevented our Geol. Excursion to Newton with Prof. Niles - Miss Hayes spoke in chapel in the evening on The Woman's Congress at Washington last Spring - we did not go - Wrote to John.
Tues. 20 Fine weather. Classes as usual. Faculty Meeting in evening. Miss Kendall here for dinner - Maggie's sister went back to Boston last night. Maggie has been doing the work today - I engaged Mrs Desmond to scrub & clean tomorrow. Letter from home.
Wed. 21 Cold. 15 degrees above zero - Miss Kendall & I had a fine tramp - 8-10:30 - Bugle St. +c. Wallace went too - of course - Letter from Annie - Went to church Sociable in evening at chapel, Emma Mc & Evelyn accompanying. Several teachers went from College -
Thurs. 22 Clear 7 cold - 21 degrees above zero - classes all day as usual - Miss Winsor came in this evening & staid some time - note & box from Mrs  Watson - Wrote home, to Mrs. Watson & note to Charley Davidson, who sent me the Union Signal with Miss Williard's address -
