Chicken salad, pickles, peach preserves, rolls, wafers, cake, icecream, apples. Harry took me up there, & came after me at 8. Some girls serenaded us & sang. "The man who has plenty of good icecream" +c Read to Mrs Steirus some from "Looking glass" -
Tues. 22. Clear fine weather again - In evening Misses Hedger, Galpin, Tillotson & I went to Natick to Union Y.P.S.C.E. meeting in Baptist Church. took train at Lake Crossing. walked back. bought some buns, creamcakes & tarts. It was a very good meeting - several wanted to speak at once.
Wed. 23 In afternoon Misses Hedger, Miller & I walked over to Auburndale - they called at Lasell Sem. & I at Rev. Henry Metcalf's. stopped at Mrs Fuller's on the way, to get some apples - back at 5:30 on train - rather muddy road in spots & quite warm walking.
Thurs. 24 Took 8:15 train with Miss Lucia Clark for Auburndale, walked back thence to Riverside School, which we visited officially, as a Committee. attended classes till 12:50 - took dinner there. I came back at 2:16, and went to see Miss Rowe about Maggie Graham's alleged grievances - Finished up my [??fire] cricket and shoe box this evening. Letter from Ethel - wrote letter home - cloudy this P.M. - very muddy - Somnolent acrobatics at midnight.
