User-Contributed Transcription meeting in evening, but not at all to church. Charlie Stanly showed us some of his Chinese & Japanese things. Crackers and milk for supper - a sing just before.

Monday - Sep. 18 - with recommendation to Pater +c., and to Laura Anderson - went to see Miss Monroe after supper. France was tied into a chair in P.M. Growing warmer. Bought some postage stamps (.20)

Tues. 19. Warm, very warm. Letters to Mrs. Weaver, Persy Richards, J.B. Ramsey. Nette came over with Mr & Mrs Upton and Marguerite was here to dinner, and told us news about Pater. He has been to Dr. Quinn, and reached home this morning, looking very well. 10 yrs. younger, Uncle E.W. says.
Annie & I went to see Mrs Magoun after supper. Miss Burnham called. Ethel took supper with Nelle Herlbert.

Wed. 20. College opened with prayers at 4:30 P.M. today. heard nothing of Hudson or Collins. We all went to prayers. Eloise Steel came for Ethel. I took train home at 8. had a nice visit with Sallie Groff on train - she was on her way home from a visit to Jane Freeman in Montana. Train late. home about 9. and heartily welcomed.

Thurs. 21. Ethel came on noon train.
