Class Social in evening - did not like it much - it was a Negro Minstrel Show.
Sun. 12 Beautiful weather - went to church and Sunday School in Village and to Y.P.S.C.E. meeting in evening. Section meeting in #23. Eva Ewing led. Subj. "Hallowed be they Name" - Rev. L. Jenkins, of Pittsfield, Mass, preached - text - "What the law could not do - God sending His own Son in the likeness of the sinful flesh." Rom. 8:3  Mr. Cowans text - "Do all things without [?]ings and disputings." Phil. 2:14.
Mon. 13 Went to Boston at 10. to Joseph Cook's lecture. then had lunch. then went to the Authors' Reading with Mrs. Watson - enjoyed it exceedingly -
