User-Contributed Transcription it will probably be published next month, we hurried to get it ready for Christmas & New Year's but the Derby writes short it had to be postponed in consequences of the pressure of money market & dull sales; doubtless it will be 'puffed out as full as a bladder to promote the sales; Derby has the name of advertising thoroughly; The title calls it a 'true story' the better to suit its narrative form, & enough of the incidents are true to save it from falsehood but the individual application, is just as it happens. The whole matter of authorage is of course to remain a profound secret, known only to the family Emily Colman is concerned as it as well as myself is to receive half the profits it may sell, & may not at all; We are at no expense about it except letter & express charges to get it to publisher. I have filled nearly all my space with the matter & can only say more give much love to all��; I have not forgotten that I owe Mallie a letter.
