User-Contributed Transcription and though he might undoubtedly find opportunities to give it up sooner, (families that would be glad to take of him) I have no idea he would think best under any circumstances hardly, to break up before next fall, -- I hope he may find his interest & comfort best subserved by staying here it is so pleasant for us all & this place is so healthy quiet & favorable on many accounts -- good society - new Eng. people - good religious privileges, good schools means & measures of living, cheap, easy & independent. There is for sale a little retired from the main streets, a neat, almost new, cottage house with four acres of ground: if it is best, I should like it if Isaac would buy it for a present home until his business is more settled & perhaps sell or rent it to Charles by the time he is ready to leave his farm. But whatever is done in the future, to which the way will in due time be opined; we all feel very desirous that you should come out here with Samuel & Percy: it seems to us best by all means: -- I want to see you Oh, so much: it will be a good opportunity for you to come, at a favorable season too: you will especially enjoy being here while Isaac's family are here - a very doubtful thing after this year -- life is short - we as a family have truly much occasion to feel that the time for us to be together & do each other good is but short & very uncertain. I feel very much like claiming you for the next year (ie) if it be according to your wish:--I have thought it over & Nettie & I have talked it over -- you cannot as things are be any alleviation comfort or help to Almeda in her trials. & though Charles & Albina I know would be glad to have you there, yet you are not needed would be lonely & low spirited I fear & ought not to have the care that I know you would take . here you would have rest & freedom from care & we could have time to talk of all the things that I want to know about in respect to Lucy & all that has happened: We
