User-Contributed Transcription is the Sabbath for this use alone, - to interpose a check and barrier to the rush and tide of business! How the Sabbath with its occupations and influences, places at a cooler and more distant view, the little engrossing things of our every day life. I think your winter, as to weather, extremely unpleasant though ever so mild and balmy green grass and budding leaves seem out of place, and would scarcely I should think relieve the mind and frequent rains, - yet your sunny days must look all the brighter and pleasanter for the frequent changes, and provided you can find sure footing I think horseback riding must be delightful. You have not written much particularly about yourself; has the color deepened any on your cheeks, and do you find yourself improving in health by the climate and out-door exercise? This morning the flocks of snow are falling softly and silently, after the type of an 'old-fashioned snow-storm,' except that the weather is somewhat too mild to promise fine sleighing of which pleasure and convenience, we have been nearly destitute
