User-Contributed Transcription to spend about a week at the two places mostly perhaps this time at Brownville then return and immediately start homeward; the time seems very short to me & yet we shall be gone from home six weeks or more by the time we reach Elyria. Lucy had company yesterday Dr. Shepherd & wife & daughter & the student Mr. Smith to day, Samuel & Lucy the doctor & myself & Hattie & Nettie intend a ride to Old town & Mt Hope. Tomorrow Mrs. Horton's people are to be invited here with Mr. & Mrs. Blood. Cannot you get word to Almeda so that she may be 'ready' for us you know' I feel as if it is rather a poor time to visit there just at haytime but do'nt see as we can help it very well. We have found a good washerwoman who did our large wash (Lucy's & mine) yesterday & is here to more to day.[top upside down]A letter from Isaac received to day says they are well & that Charles concludes to stay little longer will not come before the month of September perhaps.
