User-Contributed Transcription I expect to have a class in Botany soon wish you could transfer and transmit to me your knowledge of it. I do'nt feel acquainted with it; Can you give me any directions or explanations that will help me in studying it. Have you seen Wood's Botany? Is it better than Lincoln's? Wish you would describe to me the course I had best take in learning it myself and teaching it. The Mayflower (Trailing Arbutus) is not found in this region but a profusion of small pink flowers, different from any I has seen are found in the fields already. It will really be quite a tax for one to read all this at once if you have not plenty of time. lay it aside will you have it will be just as well for there is not much in it.
