User-Contributed Transcription Elyria May 19th/54/Dear brotherYours was received in good time some two or three weeks since. I have waited before answering it till I should be able to inform you of the safe arrival thus far, of Isaac & family. They came just a week ago to night, having spent the Sabbath previous in St Louis, and a day in Chicago. Antoinette stood the journey quite comfortably and the baby wonderfully well; he is a little beauty of a baby, apparently very healthy. They left us Mond. evening, I was sorry to have their visit so short, but could not say a word because Isaac will have barely time to go to Maine and get back in time. We have deferred our journey till the last of June or first week of July because the children have caught the measles. Hattie is now sick with them & Libby will take them from her so it will be three or four weeks, perhaps longer, before they get well over them. I suppose you start for home about the first of next month. We want you to stop here on your way home by all means. I want you should see my home in the bloom and beauty of spring; we shall not be gone as we have expected, but should be here and right glad to see you: if you conclude to take this route you will of course stop
