I know is it is my privilige to pray without ceasing and to have faith in constant exercise; but I am so constituted that I cannot at all times have the same feeling or at least the same degree of feeling that I had then, If you refer to time after the meeting, so far as I know, there is not less engagedness in the cause (with the exception of Ellen) But the question arises with me - is not God waiting for us to do something that we havenot yet done? does not he require more of us after such a manifestation of his love. And what is it that he requires? Is it not the right kind of prayer and the right union of prayer? If our prayers were right could sinners helpcrying out "what must I do to be saved?" O when shall an acceptable petition be offered? When shall christians at one and the same time sit at the Saviours feet? Is not that the place for us to sit continually? When in arder our "conversation right" surely we "shall see the salvation of God" ~~ Yes Lucy, let us unite our prayers for a spirit of prayer and let us pray the wrestling, agonising prayer which takes no denial. Whatsoever we ask in the name of Christ it shall be given us. ___ You say you hope to enjoy real happiness in a week from next Sabbath and so do I though I dont however as I feel like saying "Here let our hearts begin" - but rather - Here let them continue to flow and sink within us While we his death record. As to Mr Fays' remarks upon prayer I think they were in the main very grand; but I do not think that we cannot after a sincere prayer without going away by ourselves; if we cannot surely we ought not to pray without ceasing for we must be social and we ought to offer no
