ruled Elyria about 2 to 1, was beated in the County Convention more than 2 to 1, a thorough Temperance Christian man, Jos. T. Haskell of Wellington, brother of the Missionary Haskell, nominated for Rep.tive, W.E. Cahoon beaten for recorder, and a complete change in the Co. Ex. Com. which is now controlled by W.A. Braman & his friends. Hardly any thing in politics has been more pleasing.
We expect Ethel home at the end of this week. Henry & Nettie the week after. We wish Harlan & Wilder & Mary could come also. When are you coming Harlan? We like to hear from you often. Wilder, do any of you hear from him? Here, we have not heard a word from him since he left here June 4th. And we do not whether to expect him the first of July, or the last, or a month later yet.
