User-Contributed Transcription matter of cash, but in the "feast of reason" which we shall enjoy; and perchance it may have a tendency to remove a moiety of the "greenness" that may yet cling ad corporatua - give me credit for the Latin -
Mr. Tash passed through Levant on Sunday last, in his way to the city, but I did not see him. He sent up by Tuesday's mail, some documents for us - one for you to Professor Smyth - one for me to Prof. Packard. I will take yours with me, should I start before you, or leave it, as you may direct.
I don't know how far Mr. Tash 'brand' goes at Bowdoin: I presume we shall be obliged to undergo re-inspection, befor we can "pass muster," and call ourselves the matriculated sons of "Old Bowdoin" -
Perhaps you may see Smart during the vacation; if so, you must try to pursuade him to return to Foxcroft and prepare to enter college in the spring.
I wish you to write soon after the receipt of this, and say whether the plans proposed will be convenient for you - If not, propose others -
Yours Truly
Isaac W. Case
PS
Give my best respects to Miss Dennett, when you see her
