User-Contributed Transcription I am getting along first rate here. The college is not in a very flourishing state just at this time Perhaps there is more rowdyism now than when you were in college. Our society succeeds well. We still hold to the principles which were handed down to us, though that cannot be said of any rival The three other secret societies have become, in to a great degree, rowdy societies. Nearly all of the [Greek letters alpha, delta?] drink like the [Greek letters chi, psi]. The present freshman class is small none but will number 30 next spring. I shall teach in Alma, Me. this winter, where you may direct letters for ten weeks, after that, to Brunswick.
