User-Contributed Transcription three months I have buried a dear a very dear brother and a mother. Our Heavenly Father has begun to cut the cords that bind me below & is fastening them above that I may be drawn thitherward. Tis sad and sore parting, but now the consolations of our faith minister balm, & drop healing into every wound. As I stood by the bedside of that brother and marked the dread struggle between death & Life, I learned to dread death less, and he no longer seems hostile and repugnant to me but lovely rather. And is it not so? He is a friend and we treat him as an enemy. Tis not in wrath & with a frowning brow that he approaches the Christian, but rather with a smile of true friendship that he approaches to lead him to his father. Do you live near the Savior my brother? Remember that he has laid down his life for you. I am glad to hear of your prosperity. You are prospered in the world, may you be prospered in your preparation for another. Tis strange is it not, that men will live as though this world was all.
