User-Contributed Transcription But Marion has it worst. Sore throat for some days. Since then Rheumatism; For a day or two limping from one room to another by help of two canes. Then the Doctor told her to stay in bed. for a day or two past.
It is pretty hard on the Sabbath School Christmas performances. Nobody seems able or fit to take her place.
It is hard on Nette that is the worst of it. It is not acute rheumatism and I believe I am getting better too - I can bend both my knees without much trouble and my right arm and hand are still good. I have been in bed three days. I can crochet - at least I could yesterday and I can read and write - have been reading Motley's Dutch Republic mostly. It is deeply interesting, but I am getting weary of horrors.
