User-Contributed Transcription he turned his back upon all those bright aticipations, and obeyed the summons. He was, I trust, a Christian, and so twas not in "bitterness nor in wrath" that the summons came. Our class is breaking up, year after year we shall find that fewer celebrate our graduation, and soon all will have departed. But to me there is not much of sadness in this. The joyous future of "College Life" I have found tinged with too much of seriousness, to make me sad when it shall be a - past -
You must excuse the disjointed unjointedness of this letter for really I have not been able to write a letter coherently this fall. I will try and do better next time if you will answer this and excuse a brief letter from your Friend & Classmate Chum
