Friend Metcalf
I rec yours of yesterday and hasten to reply. I am glad to learn the whereabouts of my bill. At commencement I had so many bills to pay that I could not meet this but should have done so, could I have found it. I was not at Bruns- after the first of the fall term. I rec- money the last of the term, but before I could learn who has your successor in stewardship he had left. I however enclosed the money in a letter to send to some student; but finally as I could know nothing definite, I determined to let the whole remain until the first of the spring term, when I should be at Bruns. myself. You have anticipated [[?]] I shall be there either Saturday or [[Wednesday?]] next. But will enclose $9.00 thanking you for your prompt attention to this matter I remain as ever
