User-Contributed Transcription but though the snow was three or four feet deep, it was not hard enough then to afford a chance to hunt the moose advantageously.  On the whole I enjoyed the tour very well, at least on weekdays, but it was rather hard spending the Sabbaths in the Lumbermen's camp.  I am afraid all this account of my woods journey will not be very interesting to you.  I wish I could have been at your Exhibition at the close of last term. I should like to hear some account of it, and also of the 'visit' at Dunbarton, which it would have given me great pleasure to attend, and really quite troubled me that I could not. I do not know that I ever enjoyed any social gathering more than I did that  at your house last year. I want to hear all about it. If your vacation is only one week, I presume you at at Merrimack again now. If there is the slightest possibility that you are not I shall blame myself still more for not writing again last month, and using all my influence for it. And whenever you want more money it will be ready for you.  I shall be anxious to hear from you again immediately, and whether you like the school as much as last term. I must stop for I slept too late this morning and must write other letters before the mail leaves. I am afraid my remissness in writing troubled you, perhaps your father and mother, and I hardly dare ask you both to forgive me yourself and apologize for me to others. I will write again soon. Sincerely yours I.S.M.
