User-Contributed Transcription Isaac  Milo Maine  April 25, 1851  DunbartonMilo, Maine, April 25, 1851Dear Antoinette  I find myself once more here at Milo. I have not yet received your letter, though I learn that one arrived here not long after I went away. The folks sent it to Bangor, thinking to forward it to me, as soon as they knew where to send it. So I have just missed it:  And you may imagine am not a little uneasy: it is so long since I have heard from you. I came very near going up into New Hampshire this week to see you. But, not only had I been travelling about so much that I was getting short of money, but I was in great haste to get down here to find letters which I expected to find here awaiting me. So I came as rapidly as possible only about two days from Albany here and arrived here yesterday  afternoon.  I believe when I wrote to you I was in New York City. From there I went out over the N.Y. and Erie Rail Road, spending more than a week out on that Rail Road. It is perhaps the most magnificent Road in the county, and well worthy of considerable examination, especially from an Engineer.  Out there I found, not only Mr Everett, but also quite a number
