Dearest
Your letter of the 8th came to hand last evening. I think I wrote four or five to you last week. Now I am a little at a loss whether this will reach you before you start to leave Yarmouth for Ohio - for we are somewhat expecting you to come home when Samuel Farber comes and I understand he has written to Percy to expect him the latter part of this week. If that should be so, you & Samuel come together this week, you will probably start before this gets to Yarmouth. But if you should not come this week, you might like another letter. We are all in good health & spirits.
I wrote you a day or two since that you need not go to Hartford as Hattie DeWitt Gaylord was expected here daily. I guess they expected her last night but she did not come I think. I sent you last week a P.O. money order for $20.00, and two or three Photographs of John.
