User-Contributed Transcription I do not know as I ever felt better than on the boat coming down the Ohio. It was very warn you know, but it was extremely comfortable to sit in the shade, in the fresh South wind, thinly clothed dreamily feasting the eyes all day long. It seems as if the beauty of the atmosphere & scenery was drank in at every pore as well as by the eyes.   But perhaps the excessive laziness joined with the extreme high feeding was not permanently wholesome for me.  Saturday night & Sunday there was an extreme change of weather, from very warm to very cold, which last it has been since till within a day or two.  I had to stop at that most miserable Cairo over the Sabbath, and to start at 4 oclock that damp chilly Monday Morning; when I found myself with a very bad cold,  whether the effect
