User-Contributed Transcription feeble condition, and worn constitutions can neither of them be considered really out of danger. Mr Putnam was taken last week Friday with his coughing very severe and painful, as his throat is very sore with bronchitis or Canker in the throat. It grew worse, and Saturday morning the Dr., finding he could not check it in any manner, even by ether, grew quite alarmed, and wanted advice. So Sat. afternoon we had three doctors here from Goffstown, Weare, & Concord. They all did not seem to effect much, but the hiccough appeared gradually to wear itself out, & stop, though leaving him much exhausted. But he seems to be better since.
My own health has been pretty good. Saturday though, in the hurry, fatigue & excitement, I was pretty strongly threatened with the Dysentery, but I have kept pretty still since them, been careful of my
