User-Contributed Transcription This is the letter to Joseph continued.Perhaps however with new sheets, its best to take up new subjects. Have you a boy? Is it Moses Greenleaf? How does he answer? and what is the prospect of his usefulness & Excellence, next year & hereafter? Do you expect S. M. Furber to be with you next season? What is the prospect for your next summer's business.Glad to hear of it if you have an agreeable boarding place. Have Labaree & Son taken down the "Bangor Temperance House" sign? It ought to be pulled over their ears. How do you like Woodbury as a Chum? My best respects to him & any other friends if such there be. You ought to have given Labaree a few words of "your mind", when leaving him under such circumstances as you mention. If you were going to a public house to board at all, why did you not go to Varney's? as is that more expensive? How much does your board cost per week. You speak of being in Mass & N.Y. If so, why do you not visit here. It would do me considerable good to see you here. It would cost only 2. or three dollars from Boston here.Is it an Irish Cook or Chamber girl, of whom you speak as co eater of pie with yourself? If not get acquainted fast as possible. As for political principles of the Whig & Democratic There is in reality & has been no difference. difference of principles is not has never been since 50 years the cause of difference in parties.
