User-Contributed Transcription Mr Wilbur preached today, very good rather for him odd sermon. "Let your moderation be known to all men." Audience quite large some out of town, but many visitors.
Weather here was most excessively warm from the 10th to the 18th of July, perfectly dry also. Since then a little cooler mostly cloudy and with some rain. The "heated term" surpassed almost anything previously experienced here.
Eliza & Wilder are gone to meeting this evening, while I stay with the children. Eliza goes to meeting Monday evenings & Thursday.
I will write again in a day or two.
