We had a letter from Samuel this week - all well - Theodore sick.
The Legislature there just in session have distributed the Congressional land grant. The Minnesota & Pacific R.R. Co. which gets the great east and west line - The fifty corporators - Minnesota men - are Directors for the first year. P.P. Furber & Saml [[Stinch?]]field are prominent. Surveys to be commenced immediately. S.W. thinks I.S. Metcalf can be Chief Engineer. I was almost inclined to start right up there next week.
Judge DeWitt has been quite sick confined to his house for two weeks or more, just got about again.
Anna is pretty well.
