User-Contributed Transcription Isaac  Warwick Jan 5 1856Dunbarton - Warwick, Mass. Jan. 5th 1856"Aunt Conant's"Dearest   Well we are not yet at Elyria! We got to Brattleboro nicely Thursday afternoon, and stopped over night, and were you know going right on Friday, to get to Elyria today. But, about as I anticipated, Mother could not get by so near without coming out to see Aunt Betsy. So under pretense she feared we might be delayed, and not get to Elyria before Sat. Night, she concluded to 'just' come out here. So we came down to Northfield Friday got a horse & nice covered sleigh & got over here last night, stopping by the way to send word to Aunt Esther to come over here this morning. And this afternoon we are going back to Northfield, and spend the Sabbath there, and go on Monday Morning, having the week before us.  I suppose it was best to merely ride out here, it does Mother so Much good as well as the rest of them.  So here they are, the three old Ladies Betsy Conant  born  May 11 1781 Anna Metcalf     "     March 2 1787 Esther Stevens  "     Feb 10   1759
