User-Contributed Transcription that a beautiful slope again, broken partly by another ledge 3/4 way up, above sloping more gradually, apparently Prairie, but a few trees or bushes scattered about.798477321The other side of the River still has wooded banks, Islands between them & P. Du C. River full of Islands above this pe..? small low Islands covered with Willows, ? Willow bushes, in bundles, large quantities are used to make wharping or Levee at P. Du. C.   Bluffs I judge about 210 ft -��?   Frequently Castellated - always the Sand Stone showing at equal heights   A Mile or so above P. Du C. on Iowa side a pretty little stream. Then openings into the bluffs where the streams come in are beautiful.   RedHouse  68 Miles  IowaA little Cove extends up between the bluffs.  Above a sharp point extends down to the River, perhaps 75 ft Perpendicular, very narrow.   100 ft back of that another about as much higher, almost over hanging. Wanted to be on top with a Crow bar to throw off a big junk of rock half loosened. How it would come down among these trees.
