User-Contributed Transcription I incline to think Sarah is rather unusually careful, reliable, and trustworthy for a girl of her age. She is certainly smart & capable.  Zillah does  better than usual. I imagine she takes extra pains to be careful about every thing.  Mother looks after her some, and everything seems to go on very well.   Charles is entirely devoted to the New Barn, which progressed some.  Anna, wonderful to relate, was up here Friday to spend the day! She came in the forenoon, staid to dinner & all afternoon, and the Dr came up to tea; and then they were detained by a shower till about dark.
