Maine                                                                                                      Thursday Aug. 25th 1859My Dearest              I am afraid you may think I have not been very good about writing letters since I left home. I wrote once from Lewiston N.Y. and most especially intended to write again from Montreal, but failed. I did write from Bangor on Sunday to go by first mail after we arrived there. Monday I with great joy received letter from you, the first you wrote, and yesterday morning, just as I was getting into the Stage to come up here, another, written the Friday before; and enclosing the ones from Mr. Keyes. So I feel tolerably easy about you, knowing that you began to get along tolerably comfortably. Another thing relieved me a good deal, to hear of the Tank filling up, & not leaking.I have been quite anxious about that. If it had leaked badly, it would have been quite a trouble to you, especially if coming in the night.I write to you Sabbath day.Monday & Tuesday, staid at Bangor partly
