User-Contributed Transcription after the suffocation at Albany, it seemed all clear to me. Now is there not that something curious about thatOre.To be sure I felt better when I got here & got your letter and better yet now I have just read yours of Jan. 7 About that Pocket Book, is it not a little strange? I certainly thought it was about $75. instead of $55, in it. You can tell which it out to be. I had about $150.00 when we left Bangor; add up in the Expense Book & deduct, and you have about the amount it should be. Father's fingers, I don't think he takes pains enough to protect them. I wish he had my Fur Mittens. He ought to wear two or three pairs when he goes out. Do you play out in the barn with Mayo? It is much better for both of you than the sewing (which I fear you do). I mean to start for Chicago Monday, or Tuesday at any rate; for I fear I shall get no more letters till I get there. Sabbath--an enormous snow storm here. Heretofore the weather has been very cold here, but with little snow just here. I fear I shall not be able to get to Chicago immediately, & I fear I will not hear from you again till I do.You must frequently to Mother I suppose you wrote last week to Chicago. This week you will write to DuQuoin. You had better write mainly to Chicago rather, and here perhaps.Mother will write to you soonLove & Kisses to Mine ownIsaac
