User-Contributed Transcription So I had no stop from 5:30 at Concord till 8 P.M. at Bangor.  And after I ate some supper my tooth ached finely at the first part of the night.  But today I feel much better.   Lucy sits propped up by Pillows, unable to lie down, or to move at all. She can not speak hardly at all; if she tries it is hardly audible. She has lately, but very little pain except shortness of breath, only occasionally a coughing spell, & raising? which hurts her severely.   Oh, Nettie, She is dead -  While I was writing the above; it was just after twelve oclock; Maria, who had been up all the forenoon, had just gone; Samuel had just come down stairs; Mother was alone in the Chamber except Mrs. Harlow; Lucy wanted to spit, she did once very easily, then her throat seemed to fill; Mr Harlow stepped to the door & called; but in less than half a minute at once, & without a struggle, before any one reached
