User-Contributed Transcription I have commenced my writing School. Have less than 20 scholars. Only $.50 each, & I find all the Stationery.I buy Writing Books, at $.50 per doz. at the Stores they are 6 1/4 each, I retail many at .5cts each, Penholders, 25 per doz. retail at, 4 each.I bought a box of pens, 303, for $1,25.  They are 'Gillettes extra fine' 2 cents a peice, or, 25 the card of 12 & holder.  I sell lots, by the dozen, or a cent a peice. I bought a quart of ink for .37 1/2. I can supply you all with Stationery, of all kinds. I have also bought two half reams of letter paper, for $1.25 & .87 1/2, just half the quire price. Let me supply you all. The writing School, though it takes time will be no disadvantage to me, in reality, if I dont get much. I was at the 'City' Sat. night & Sunday. Next Friday night, if favorable, I mean to walk over to Levant, to Case's, and perhaps, spend the Sabbath. I.W. Case, teaches at Levant village & boards at home. He was down here Week ago one evening & went back the same night, with a good horse. Started back 11 3/4 P.m.I usually sit up till midnight lately. I cant sleep all the time you know. I shall go to bed much earlier tonight, say 1 or 2 or 3 I dont somehow make out study a great deal. I hope you will all take pains to write.I hereby render many thanks to Joseph for his valuable letter. I hope I shall receive more like it frequently. I am about setting my scholars to Writing themes & Declaiming evenings etc.  This letter looks like a Writin Masters!!!  I believe I am doing well about Shirts linen etc.  I should like some linen wristbands artificial twice as long as others & I guess round cornered.
