User-Contributed Transcription Sister AnneI believe I wrote to you something about those bundle of Town's? Reading books that were sent to me. I had nothing to do with them but to benefit the interests of the Original proprietors. I have one set to the Sup. School Com. of Richmond and one to the preceptor of Litchfield Liberal Institute; and believe I will pack up a couple of sets of them and send to you by Express. I suppose it will not cost a great deal. The whole bundle came to me by Express from Portland to Gardiner, 50 miles or more for, 25. If you do not want the books, or any of them. I have no sort of objection to your carrying them to a book store The retail price of those twelve books would be $3.00, to teachers schools, Towns, or School Committees they are put at exactly half price. I have marked the prices of each in some of the Books. I want you should see how you like the spellers. the System is very much 'cracked up' in that respect. I wish you would write to me a little more frequently. I believe I write more letters than all the rest of the family together. I have written 30 full letters, many of them more than one sheet, since I went to Richmond, about 9 weeks. Mother & Lucy complain of you Bangor folks, I guess with reason. You don't do you share of correspondence Yours. Brother I S.
