User-Contributed Transcription Things are getting on here much as usual, considerable excitement about the elections, and increasing. I have not studied much yet,too much business to attend to, only go into recitations, though aught to study, make up for absence.By the way, when I left Charles he gave me $15.00 I believe; wanted to more, but I refused to take it. I had calculated just how much I had to spend, and found that I could get along with that, $30.00 it would make, for this term. Was it because I refused money when I could have it? When I arrived here, I found an old bill against me as Steward of boarding Club, which by some one's carelessness, possibly mine, though I think not, in fact know it, had been mislaid. It is against me, and I of course pay it. It is $10 to 12? The Club would of course contribute to pay it, but the word obscured boarded there that term, it was last summer, were about all Senior, and now gone. I will not call upon the 3 or 4 only now here to help pay it. I do not hardly know what I can shall do about it. If Charles had that money still, I would not refuse it again! If C has not, perhaps I can borrow it, for a month or two, or maybe get it of Jos. or Eliab. I wish Charles would take measures to sell Donkey I fear me he is getting off the notion of it, very bad so to do. Has that Garden been planted yet?! What is Charles doing about Haying work? (Do now write me all about every thing. I wonder if Lucy is at home today; how I want to see you all! I declare I am almost homesick!Do write to Isaac
